A delegation of Arab business men from Casablanca Group led by Hon. Mohammed Sani Sha’aban, the Danburan of Zazzau, paid a courtesy visit to NNDC on 17th November, 2016. The delegation was received by Alh. Abbas A. Waziri, Executive Director Business Development Directorate on behalf of the Group Managing Director - Alh. Ahmed M. Muhammed, FCA.

The leader of the delegation said that they were in NNDC Headquarters to explore areas of mutual business collaboration/partnership. He informed NNDC that his Group had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Defence Industry Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) for the production of light and heavy military apparels. According to him, arrangement had been concluded to commence production of items like garment, shoes and apparels that could be used by all arms of the military and paramilitary forces. He therefore requested for a possible collaboration between Casablanca Group and NNDC on this issue.

During a short presentation to the Group, the Deputy General Manager (Planning & Corporate Development) of NNDC listed the areas that the company was involved including agriculture, hospitality, real-estate, commodity marketing, healthcare, mining, proposed regional banking and telecommunications.

At the end of the interactive session and after due consultation, the Casablanca Team indicated interest to collaborate with NNDC in the areas of mining, housing, regional bank and telecommunications. The visiting Team also expressed intent to establish a modular refinery as well as commence the packaging of imported date fruit in partnership with NNDC. NNDC noted all these and promised to involve its subsidiary company - NNIL Commercial Company Limited where appropriate.
