02/06/2016 GOVERNOR NASIR AHMAD EL-RUFAI PROPOSES A SUSTAINABLE INVESTMENT IN ICT BANK FOR THE REGION

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai advised that the North should float a new bank that would be sustainably run on ICT. He made this remark during a courtesy visit by NNDC delegation to him at Sir Kashim Ibrahim House, Government House, Kaduna on 2nd June, 2016.

The Governor said that Kaduna State was willing to partner with NNDC to float new agricultural projects and revive and sustain viable industries in the State. He further said that the State was already committed to the establishment of an agricultural park. The Governor then reassured NNDC of his willingness to resolve the recurrent problem of the Golf Course tenancy by calling for a meeting between NNDC and its tenant - the Kaduna Golf Club.

Earlier, the NNDC Chairman Alh. Bashir Mohammed Dalhatu (Walin Dutse), who led the NNDC delegation that comprised of the Group Managing Director Ahmed M. Mohammed, FCA and some Management staff, briefed the Governor on issues pertaining to NNDC's Kaduna Golf Course land, bilateral relationship in agricultural diversification and innovation, consultation on NNDC’s oil exploration prospect, support for the resuscitation of the Kaduna Textile Limited (KTL) through local content and the resuscitation of a bank owned by the northern States.
